Watch President Trump’s address

President Donald Trump plans to make his case on building a wall.

The President will give his first-ever Oval Office speech at 8 p.m., Central Time, Tuesday about what he calls a “crisis” at the U.S.-Mexico border. He claims a wall between the two countries is needed and has refused to sign off on any spending bill without funding for it. This has led to a partial federal government shutdown and a standstill between Republicans and Democrats.

The Trump Administration is also talking about potentially declaring a national emergency to allow Trump to build without Congress approving the $5.6 billion he wants for the wall.

His speech will be carried live on television by ABC, CBS, CNN, Fox Broadcasting, Fox News Channel, Fox Business Network, MSNBC, and NBC. You can watch a livestream of the event on this page.
