Arrest made in Carlisle County burglary

Jordan Jones

CARLISLE COUNTY, KY — A man has been charged in connection to a burglary investigation in Carlisle County, Kentucky.

The Carlisle County Sheriff’s Department says 30-year-old Jordan Jones is now charged with third degree burglary and tampering with physical evidence.

As Local 6 reported Wednesday, he and Jewell Wiley were considered persons of interests in the investigation into a burglary of a storage building owned by the city of Bardwell on Monday.

Thursday, deputies say, Jones and Wiley were found and interviewed. They say Jones admitted to breaking into the building and stealing items worth more than $2,000 in total.

Investigators say Wiley told them he was not involved in the burglary and didn’t know anything about it. He has not been charged.

Jones, however, was arrested on the burglary and tampering charges and jailed in the Ballard County Jail. His bond was set at $5,000.
