ISP asks for information following homicide

TAMMS, Ill. — The Illinois State Police is asking for any information following the death of Stacy Carter-Gonzales, 48 of Tamms, Illinois.

The Alexander County Sheriff’s Department received a 911 call Friday about a subject with a gunshot wound at a residence in Tamms.

Police arrived to find Carter-Gonzales had died from injuries sustained from the gunshot wounds.

ISP is encouraging anyone who may have any information about the homicide to contact ISP District 13 at (618) 542-2171.

This is an ongoing investigation. Information will be updated as it is released.
