Double murder suspect expected to appear in court Monday

CALLOWAY COUNTY, KY — We’ll have a crew in Calloway County Monday as Shannon Scott is expected to make his first court appearance.

Scott is accused of murdering two women and a dog in Murray. He is also facing cruelty to animals, burglary, and tampering with evidence.

Scott’s girlfriend, 37-year-old Tera Todd, was found in the garage of a home on Catalina Drive Thursday night. An autopsy showed she was stabbed multiple times.

Police then went to her home, which was next door, and found the body of 77-year-old Evelyn Scott sitting in a chair. A police report said her throat had been cut.

Scott is also accused of killing and trying to hide a dog.

Evelyn was Tera’s aunt and Tera was her caretaker. The two lived together at a home on Catalina Drive.

Scott is expected to be in court Monday at 10:00 a.m. We’ll bring you the latest on what happens in court on air and online.
