Civil cases in Marshall County High School shooting expected to be heard Tuesday

MARSHALL COUNTY, KY — We’ll have a crew in a Marshall County courtroom on Tuesday as Gabe Parker is expected to go in front of a judge.

He is the teen accused in the Marshall County High School shooting that killed two students and injured dozens more.

Tuesday’s hearing is about the two civil cases against him.

The first one was filed by the families of four victims, including Bailey Holt who was killed in the shooting. Parker, his mother and step-father, along with several Marshall County School District employees are named in the suit.

The other suit was filed by the family of Preston Cope, the other student killed in the shooting. That suit only lists Parker’s mother and step-father as defendants.

Tuesday’s hearing is separate from the criminal case against Parker. We are hoping to get more information on his next criminal court date on Tuesday.

We’ll bring you the latest on what happens in court on air and online.
