McCracken Superintendent Brian Harper addresses investigations in email to parents

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY- The superintendent of McCracken County Schools sent an email to parents Thursday addressing multiple investigations into sex allegations, misconduct, and failure to report charges involving staff and a student at the high school.

MCPS Superintendent Brian Harper

Below is the email in its entirety:

MCHS Families-

The safety and well-being of students is the highest priority at McCracken County High School. The recent events that have taken place do not represent the positive values of our students and school community.

While these events are alarming, I want every parent and student to know that we will continue to provide a safe and fostering learning environment for all students.

McCracken County High School staff, with the support of the McCracken County Public Schools district officials, are working closely with students and the school community to address concerns, provide support, and review security measures.

You may have questions about these serious incidents but so that we do not jeopardize ongoing McCracken County Sheriff’s investigations, MCPS cannot provide any additional details about the specific cases at this time.

The safety and security of every student in our district is our top priority and a responsibility that we do not take lightly. We have and will continue to work every day to ensure our schools are safe places to learn.

Brian Harper

Superintendent

McCracken County Public Schools
