Local groups organizing teams to help with flood efforts

CALVERT CITY, KY — A community needs your help making sure floodwaters don’t seep into a local home.

Four Rivers Church in Calvert City is teaming up with Healing Projects and coordinating efforts with Calvert City EMS to do some sandbagging in the area. As of now, it’s one home but that could change as water rises throughout the area.

If you’re 16 and older, grab your mud boots and work gloves, and then meet at Four Rivers Church at 1199 S. Main St. in Calvert City at 8:20 a.m. Sunday. Pastor Dawn Choate says sandbagging will start around 8:30 a.m.
