Massac County Emergency Management calling on volunteers to fill sandbags

BROOKPORT, IL – Help is needed in Brookport, Illinois as the Ohio River continues to rise. Massac County Emergency Management is asking for volunteers to help fill sandbags in Brookport.

Volunteers will need to go to Brookport City Hall to sign in and then you will be directed where to go. They are in need of volunteers starting Sunday morning around 8:45 AM.

To help fight the floodwaters, the city is also going to install three or four more floodgates on Sunday.
