Paducah-McCracken County Convention, Expo Center out of service

PADUCAH, KY — The Paducah-McCracken County Convention and Expo Center is out of service Monday night, City Engineer Rick Murphy tells county leaders.

Murphy told the McCracken County Fiscal Court during tonight’s meeting that the the convention center won’t be available until floodwaters go down and some Paducah floodgates are re-opened.

There’s only one way in and out Monday night, and Ohio River water is on the makeshift wall that is installed at the convention center, Murphy said. He estimated the convention center will be out of service for seven to 10 days.
