South Fulton, Tennessee, city manager accused of using counterfeit money

SOUTH FULTON, TN — South Fulton City Manager James Gray is accused of trying to pass a counterfeit bill over the weekend at two Union City stores, a local newspaper reports.

He was arraigned on two counts of criminal felony charges Tuesday. The Union City Messenger reports that Gray has been on the job with South Fulton since Feb. 11.

Before that he was city manager in Hickman, Kentucky, for about two years.

He’s scheduled to be back in court on March 12.
