Local students take home first place at robotics competiton

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY – Students from across west Kentucky competed in the Robo Challenge Xtreme at West Kentucky Community & Technical College on Saturday.

The event is designed to strengthen student’s teamwork, communication, computer programming, and problem solving skills. First and second place winners head to the state championship on April 18th in Lexington at Rupp Arena.

In the elementary division, Lyon County Elementary Robotics took home first place and Stemnadoes took second.

In the high school division, Sparc Robotics took first place and Circuit Smart won second.
