Alex Trebek thanks ‘Jeopardy’ fans for support following cancer diagnosis

“Jeopardy!” host Alex Trebek is thanking fans of the show for their support following his announcement that he has pancreatic cancer.

Last week, the 78-year-old quiz show host announced that he has stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Thursday, he shared another statement at the beginning of the show and on the “Jeopardy!” YouTube page.

“I just want to take a few moments to say thanks to the — believe it or not — hundreds of thousands of people who have sent in tweets, texts, emails, cards and letters wishing me well following my recent health announcement,” Trebek said.

“Now obviously, I won’t be able to respond to all of you individually, but I do want you to know that I do read everything I receive,” he said, thanking viewers for their prayers and support.
