Living on the spectrum: What life is like with autism
The Autism Society says some early signs of autism are little to no eye contact, not speaking, repetition with manners, lack of interest, and fixation on objects. But, that doesn’t mean someone with autism will have all of these signs or any of these signs.
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says 1 in 59 kids will be diagnosed with autism. It is four times more commonly diagnosed in boys than girls.
April is Autism Awareness Month. Thursday, April 25, on Local 6 at 10, we will bring you into the lives of four people with autism and give you a glimpse at what life is like living on the spectrum.
