Carbondale police identify woman found dead in ‘mechanical device’
CARBONDALE, IL — Carbondale police have released the name of a 37-year-old woman whose body was found Friday.
Early Friday morning, a woman’s body was found in what a police department news release described as a “mechanical device.” The release did not explain what type of device. Local 6 called the department to find out, but we have not yet received an answer. The release said her body was found in the 800 block of West Mill Street, which is the location of Carbondale Towers apartments.
On Monday, the police department said the woman has been identified as Kristin Duncan of Murpysboro. The updated news release says police are not releasing any further information for now as the investigation continues.
