Sheriff’s office releases name of man killed in Clinton Road crash, fire
MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY — The McCracken County Coroner’s Office has released the name of the driver killed in a single-vehicle crash on Clinton Road that happened Thursday.
The crash happened Thursday afternoon on Clinton Road between the intersection with Luigs Lane and the four-way intersection with Lovelaceville Florence Station West. A truck crashed head-on into a tree, crossed to the opposite side of the road and came to a stop on its side before catching fire with the driver inside.
Friday, the McCracken County Coroner’s Office released the name of the driver, and the McCracken County Sheriff’s Department released more information about the vehicle he was driving.
In a statement, the coroner’s office says 48-year-0ld Jeffrey Caudle of McCracken County was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash at 3:57 p.m.
The sheriff’s office says Caudle was driving a white 2000 Chevrolet Silverado.
