Ex-boyfriend charged with the death of UTM student Decora Alexander

OBION COUNTY, TN – On Sunday, investigators with the Obion County Sheriff’s Office along with the 27th Judicial District Attorney General’s Office and the Union City Police Department charged 29-year-old Tony Mosley with first degree murder.

The charges come after the death of 20-year-old Decora Alexander who was found stabbed to death in Mosley’s home on Joe Fry Lane in Obion County. Family of Alexander say Mosley was her ex-boyfriend.

Mosley was arrested Sunday afternoon in Memphis on a probation violation and taken to the Obion County Jail where he was then charged with first degree murder. Mosley is waiting arraignment on both charges.

Decora Alexander was a UTM student and dancer.

You can hear from Alexander’s family here. Her family and court documents say Alexander had an order of protection against Mosley at the time of her death. Her family said a friend dropped Alexander off at Mosley’s home, but they did not know why she was there.
