Funeral arrangements made for 2-year-old Eddyville boy swept away in flash flooding
EDDYVILLE, KY — Funeral arrangements have been made for an Eddyville, Kentucky boy who died at a state park in Tennessee.
Two-year-old Steven Pierce was swept away by fast-moving waters at Cummins Falls State Park over the weekend. His body was found downstream the next day.
About 60 people, including Steven’s parents, had to be rescued from the flash flood.
A visitation for Steven will be held on Thursday, June 13 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Lakeland Chapel in Eddyville.
A funeral will be held on Friday, June 14 at 11:00 a.m. also at Lakeland Chapel. Burial will follow at Calvert City Cemetery.
