Motorcyclist, SUV driver taken to local hospitals after Paducah crash

PADUCAH — Police say a motorcyclist and the driver of a SUV were taken to local hospitals Tuesday after a crash on Paducah’s south side.

The crash happened around 12:03 p.m. Wednesday on Bridge Street near the Beltline, a Paducah Police Department news release says. The driver of the SUV, 63-year-old Nelda Reed, told officers she was turning left off of Bridge Street into a restaurant parking lot just before the crash. She said another vehicle in front of her was also turning into the parking lot, so she didn’t see the oncoming motorcycle.

The motorcycle, driven by 36-year-old Timmy McFarland, hit the side of the SUV.

Both were taken to local hospitals for treatment. The news release says both drivers’ injuries were minor.
