Two dead, nine injured in shooting spree in Louisville
LOUISVILLE, KY — Two people are dead and nine others are injured after several shootings in Louisville over the weekend. Police are still trying to figure out if any of them are connected.
The first shooting happened Saturday morning in the Chickasaw neighborhood. A man was shot and laying on the sidewalk when police found him. He died later on in the hospital.
Saturday evening, another shooting occurred when a passenger of a vehicle shot the driver while on the interstate.
Later Saturday night, a young man was found with a gunshot wound on South 38th Street.
The fourth shooting happened around 1:30 a.m. Sunday. Seven people were shot in the Park Hill Neighborhood and one died.
Another shooting around that same time was in the Jacobs neighborhood, where a man reportedly had been shot twice before police found him.
Police believe a sixth shooting occurred around 2:30 a.m. Sunday when a teenager went to the hospital with a gunshot wound.
Active investigations are open for all the shootings.
