TRIGG COUNTY, KY — A Hopkinsville, Kentucky, man was arrested Monday on a murder charge stemming from the death of a man in Trigg County.
The body of 35-year-old Keith “Joey” Hayes Jr. of Hopkinsville was found last week off of Buffalo Road in Trigg County. Investigators say an autopsy showed he died from multiple gunshot wounds.
Around 5:18 a.m. Monday, a Kentucky State Police detective arrested 43-year-old James W. Gentry of Hopkinsville on a charge of murder. He was jailed in the Christian County Jail.
KSP notes that Gentry was previously arrested on Friday on charges of receiving stolen property and tampering with physical evidence in the case.
