LYON COUNTY, KY — A former Lyon County teacher was arrested over the weekend.
Lyon County Sheriff Brent White says on Saturday, an anonymous caller made a complaint about a Lyon County Middle School employee.
White says he contacted Lyon County School Superintendent Russ Tilford immediately and both began working on an investigation.
The investigation lead to the arrest of 33-year-old Michael Derek McCuiston of Providence on Sunday morning.
McCuiston is a former teacher and coach in the Lyon County School District. He was charged with tampering with physical evidence and taken to the Webster County Jail.
McCuiston is suspected of “being involved in sexual exploitation related offenses” while he was a teacher and a coach.
White says they are working to identify any and all potential victims in the case.
