JACKSONVILLE, FL – A shooting under the Friday night lights killed one person and injured two others. The shooting happened after a high school football game in Jacksonville, Florida Friday night at Raines High School.

First Coast News in Jacksonville is reporting the shooting happened right outside of the football stadium’s main gates. Witnesses said they heard shots about 15 minutes after the game ended.

Police said the person killed was a former student at Raines High School. The two injured are current students at Robert E. Lee High School. Duval County Public School officials said there was heavy security at the game, but that the shooting happened outside the area with the metal detector.

Police have not made any arrests. The names of those injured and killed have not been released as of 7:30 A.M. Saturday morning.

Local news agencies there are reporting that officials in Jacksonville will meet on Saturday to discuss whether to move football games to the afternoons.

This is the second shooting at a high school football game in Florida in just 8 days.
