PADUCAH, KY — The 63rd Annual Lions Club/WPSD Local 6 Telethon of Stars will take place and air on WPSD Saturday, Sept. 14 from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. from the Carson Center.

Donations collected through the telethon will benefit Easterseals West Kentucky, Easterseals Southeast Missouri, TLC/The Therapy Center in Southern Illinois and UT Martin’s Infant Stimulation Program. The centers provide services to help those living with special needs.

The Telethon of Stars has raised more than $20 million since 1957, according to a news release.

The following entertainers have already confirmed they will be at the telethon:

  • Arthur Stout (pianist and lyricist)
  • Anna Catherine DeHart ("The Voice" Season 13 contestant)
  • Classy and Grassy (bluegrass/country music trio from Marion, KY)
  • Haleigh Martin (country music artist and songwriter)
  • Rachelle NiCole (Mayfield singer-songwriter)
  • Reggie Lafaye (Paducah-based saxophonist)
  • The Todd Hill Quintet (jazz band that’s been performing for more than 35 years)

Telethon chairman Clay Duncan said it’s been a staple for the area and is excited to return to the live format this year.
