US 60 – Paducah, Kentucky
Starting Tuesday night, June 18, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) will be shifting traffic to the outside lanes along the US 60 work zone near Kentucky Oaks Mall in Paducah.
Weather permitting, the work will ideally be completed by Thursday night, June 20, at the latest.
The shift will occur between Coleman Road and New Holt Road so crews can work along the median area.
The work zone along US 60 extends from Holt Road at milepoint 10.130 running eastward to near the Coleman Road Intersection at milepoint 10.981. It goes through the mall area and through the I-24 Paducah Exit 4 Interchange. The I-24 Interchange will be closing in July so the final connecting points of the intersection can be constructed.
Left turns will remain restricted to signalized intersections, KYTC said.
Marion, Illinois has a similar double diamond interchange to what I-24 will become. Click here to see what that looked like.
