Fredonia, KY –UPDATE 9:44 AM: The Kentucky Department of Corrections spokeswoman Lisa Lamb says Davis is back in custody. She says he was arrested at 9:15 AM and taken to Caldwell County Jail. He is waiting a transport back to Western Kentucky Correctional Complex.
Kentucky State Police say they were able to find Davis because of a tip from the public. Police found him in a field in Caldwell County around 9:15 AM off Old Fredonia Road. KSP CVE Officer George Pointer detained Davis in the field. Davis has been charged with Escape 2nd Degree.
7:01 AM – Kentucky State Police got a call from the West Kentucky Correctional Complex in Lyon County, KY on Sunday, February 3, 2019 around 6:10 AM about a missing inmate.
The staff said an inmate jumped off a food cart and took off walking. Aaron Alexander Davis of Paris, KY is described as a 25 year old white male, 6’00”, brown hair, and hazel eyes. Davis was last seen wearing white long johns, and a khaki toboggan.
Davis has a history of burglary, weapons charges, and fleeing and evading police. If anyone has contact with Davis contact police immediately.
The Kentucky Department of Corrections also sent out a press release in regards to this escape. Lisa Lamb said Davis is serving a 12 year sentence for burglary, theft, receiving stolen property, and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon out of Bourbon County.
The West Kentucky Correctional Complex has cancelled all visitations for Sunday. The operator at the jail would not specify why they are cancelled.
