Mothers. Daughters. Sisters.

They are all at risk for breast cancer. One in eight women will develop invasive breast cancer within their lifetime.

They aren’t alone. In honor of breast cancer awareness month, we are working with Lundberg Medical Imaging and the Purchase District Health Department in our ‘Friends in the Fight’ campaign.

Throughout the month of October, we will bring you live-saving information along with motivating stories of survivors. Check back in as we update this page.

Most of the time breast cancer is diagnosed among older women, but it can affect younger women.
The CDC reports 11% of all new cases of breast cancer in the U.S. are diagnosed among women under the age of 45.
Your risk depends on certain factors including BRCA 1 and BRCA 2 genes. Under normal circumstances, they suppress tumors. That all changes if you are at risk of those gene mutating.
