MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY — Two men were arrested on drug trafficking charges Tuesday in McCracken County two separate investigations, the McCracken County Sheriff's Department says.
In a news release, the sheriff's office says David Marshall was arrested on methamphetamine trafficking and other drug-related charges after detectives found drugs in his home and vehicle in Reidland.
Detectives began a joint investigation with the Kentucky Department of Probation and Parole after they received complaints that drugs were being trafficked out of a home on Stiles Road in Reidland, the release says. Searching the vehicle, detectives say they found about 10 grams of crystal meth, as well as marijuana, Valium, oxycodone and other pills. Inside the home, the release says detectives found more than 5 pounds of marijuana, doses of Adderall, other pills, scales and other items associated with drug use.
Marshall was arrested at the home. He was charged with meth trafficking on the second offense, trafficking more than 5 pounds of Marijuana on the second offense, trafficking amphetamines on the second offense, trafficking oxycodone on the second offense, trafficking in Valium on the second offense and possession of drug paraphernalia.
In a second investigation, the sheriff's office says Anthony Daniels was arrested on charges of meth trafficking on the second or subsequent offense and first degree wanton endangerment. Investigators say Daniels was contacted by an undercover detective Tuesday. Daniels is accused of agreeing to meet the undercover detective in the parking lot of a local business to sell the detective an ounce of meth.
The news release says when Daniels arrived at the parking lot, he had a 5-year-old child with him in his vehicle. Detectives searched Daniels, and the sheriff's office says they found 43 grams of crystal meth hidden in an undergarment he was wearing.
The child was released into the custody of a family member, the sheriff's office says, and Daniels was arrested.
Daniels was previously arrested in McCracken County on drug trafficking charges on Oct. 3. In that incident, the sheriff's office says Daniels was accused of having 90 grams of crystal meth on his person. The sheriff's office says Daniels was released on bond in that case on Oct. 5.
Both men were jailed in the McCracken County Jail.
