UPDATE: The McCracken County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the death of a man whose body was found in a ditch the day after a golden alert was issued to find him.
The body of 63-year-old Jimmy Woodford of Ledbetter was found around 1 p.m. Tuesday. The McCracken County Coroner’s Office has ruled that his death was caused by exposure/drowning, according to a news release sent by the sheriff’s department. Investigators say they have not found any evidence of foul play.
MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY — The body of a man for whom a golden alert was issued Monday has been found in a ditch near a mobile home park in McCracken County, Kentucky.
Responders are at the scene.
The body was found in a ditch near the Country Aire Mobile Home Park on Clarks River Road. Paducah-McCracken County Emergency Management Director Jerome Mansfield confirms the body is that of 63-year-old Jimmy Woodford.
Woodford was reported missing Monday after he was last seen Saturday.
His body wad found Tuesday afternoon.
