MARSHALL COUNTY, KY — Marshall County is still rebuilding after the December tornado outbreak, including rebuilding homes for tornado survivors.

To help, God's Pit Crew, a Christian nonprofit disaster response organization, announced its plan to build a free home for one Marshall County resident.

Organizers say that, despite the cost, it's worth it to offer that kind of help.

"It is a big deal to give someone a free home," says Chris Chiles with God's Pit Crew. "Especially with the way that lumber prices and everything have skyrocketed. So, it's an expensive gift, but we're excited about it, and our donors are excited to get involved to help."

The group is building other homes in Dawson Springs, Kentucky, and Dresden, Tennessee, as well.

For those who want to help, God's Pit Crew says it's in need of manpower — specifically anyone with construction experience.
