Matt Houser has been named principal of McCracken County High School.

McCRACKEN COUNTY, KY — McCracken County High School has named its new principal.

Director of Public Relations at McCracken County Schools Jayme Jones says Matt Houser began his career as a classroom teacher at Hendron- Lone Oak Elementary School in 2006. He worked as an assistant principal at Lone Oak High School and served as the school’s principal in 2012 before McCracken County High School opened.

“I am very proud to be the principal at McCracken County High School. It has been a pleasure serving as assistant principal since the school opened in 2013,” said Houser. “I continue to be amazed and inspired by our wonderful students and staff. We have so much to be proud of as Mustang Nation, and I cannot help but be excited to get started.”

The high school says Houser has been an assistant principal at MCHS for the past 6 years.

Jones says Houser earned a Bachelor’s degree in elementary education and a Masters degree in school administration from Murray State University.
