SPARTA, KY — A new NFL coach for the Cincinnati Bengals will be the Honorary Pace Car Driver at the ninth annual Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Quaker 400 Saturday, July 13.

Zac Taylor was named as the 10th head coach for the Bengals on Feb. 4 after serving as assistant wide receivers coach and quarterbacks coach in two respective seasons with the Los Angeles Rams. He was the University of Cincinnati’s offensive coordinator before joining the Rams organization.

General manager of Kentucky Speedway Mark Simendinger said in a release this was the best way to welcome Taylor back to Cincinnati and taking their hometown team under his wing.

The weekend of the Quaker 400 is the third in three race weekend to start off the Kentucky Speedway season. The first one on July 11 is the Gander Outdoors Truck Series Buckle Up in Your Truck 225, followed by the Xfinity Series Alsco 300 on July 12.
