Mid-Continent University trustees have voted to shut down the university entirely on June 30th. Acting president Tom Walden confirms that the faculty have been laid off, but he says enough have volunteered that classes will continue through the end of the school year.

If students would like to get a transcript, they need to get one from the Registrar’s Office before June 30th. You can find a transcript submission form on Mid-Continent’s website that you can submit to the Registrar’s Office on campus.

Many students are still wondering how the closure will affect them and their future. Local 6’s Elizabeth Fields spoke to Dr. Walden for answers.
