OBION COUNTY, TN -- Three hotels and a community pavilion are opening soon next to the Discovery Park of America.
In a blog post, Discovery Park's CEO Scott Williams says people are constantly requesting "a stylish and affordable place nearby " to spend the night. He says their requests will soon be a reality, thanks to the three almost finished hotels right by the park.
The Park says the Sleep Inn and MainStay Suites are scheduled to open in late August. However, the Holiday Inn Express & Suites is scheduled to open by the end of 2019.
Additionally, Williams says each hotel will have a private entrance to the park. He says this makes a trip back to the hotel for a nap or pool time quick and easy.

The Community Pavilion
In the blog post, Williams says the community pavilion at Houser Creek is now open and ready to host events, such as farmer's markets, concerts, family reunions, and weddings!
The pavilion, built by Homestead Timber Frames, is one of the largest timber frame structures in Tennessee, says Scott. More so, builders handpicked every timber in the structure for the highest possible quality to create a unique venue that, as Williams says, "will no doubt become an iconic part of a visit to Union City."
Nearby Reelfoot Lake has made the area a center for hunters, birdwatchers, and water sport enthusiasts. A series of earthquakes in 1811 and 1812 created the 15,000 biodiverse ecosystem lake. Scott says the area, with the park, hotels, restaurants and more, brings a whole new audience to discover Northwest Tennessee.
