PADUCAH, KY — On Wednesday night the Ballard Memorial Lady Bombers captured their first 3rd District Championship since 2017 with a 2-1 win over Graves County.

It was an emotional win for the Lady Bombers who set out at the beginning of the season to win a district crown.

It was an emotional game as the Ballard community dealt with the passing of Hudson Pace — a Ballard student who passed away over the weekend after a lengthy battle with cancer.

The Lady Bombers dedicated their win to Pace.

In an interview following the game, Coach Alexander Scott said, "I just told these girls, they gotta have the same fight he did, and that was exactly what they had."
