Three singles players and three doubles teams from west Kentucky are into the Round of 16 at the KHSAA State Tennis Tournament in Lexington.

In boys singles, Paducah Tilghman’s Davis Rowton won his two matches 6-0, 6-1 and 6-3, 6-3.

In boys doubles, the Graves County duo of Isaac Carrico and Brady Ellegood won their matches 6-0, 6-0 and 6-3, 7-5.

In girls singles, Belle Englebright became the first from Caldwell County to ever advance to the Round of 16 winning her matches 6-0, 6-0 and 6-0, 6-0. She’s joined on Day 2 by McCracken County’s Sophia Shiben who won her matches 6-0, 6-0 and 6-1, 6-2.

In girls doubles, two McCracken County teams advanced to the Round of 16. Danni Poat and Shelby Puryear won 6-0, 6-0 and 6-0, 6-0. Emily Dew and Isabella McKinney also advanced 6-0, 6-1 and 6-2, 6-3.
