PADUCAH, KY — Paducah Tilghman senior Valesha Watson won the triple-crown for the second straight year at the KHSAA 2A State Track & Field meet on Friday.

Watson won the 100, 200, and 400 meter dash events for the second straight year to accomplish the triple-crown.

The final two events of the 2A State Track & Field meet were postponed to Saturday morning in Lexington due to rain that moved through the area.

Earlier in the day, Paducah Tilghman’s DaRoyce Flemons won the boy’s discus state championship. Tilghman also brought home another individual state championship with Jaaliyah Biggers winning the girl’s long jump.

Calloway County’s team of Watters, Fennel, Curd, and Schwepker won the boy’s 4×200 meter relays.
