CHARLESTON, Ill. (AP) - Marvin Johnson had a career-high 22 points as Eastern Illinois defeated Murray State 74-68.
Chico Carter Jr. led the Racers with 15 points.
Tevin Brown's jumper with 4:33 remaining gave Murray State a 64-56 lead. From there, EIU ripped off a 16-0 run to grab control of the game.
The Racers turned the ball over 23 times which led to 28 EIU points.
Murray State is now 1-4 in the Ohio Valley Conference for the first time since 1983-84.
