The Paducah-McCracken County United Way says they need more donations to help local families impacted by COVID-19. So far they have helped 68 families. You can donate by texting "GIVE" to 77513.
Leaders in Ballard County, Kentucky, have created a nonprofit called the Ballard County COVID-19 Relief Fund.
"I'm seeing applications that are coming through from families that have never asked for help before," Executive Director Betsy Burkeen said. "Both mother and father of a family of four, for example, have been working for years, and they are finding themselves out of work with zero income for the first time in their lives."

During a virtual hearing on Monday, prosecutors and defense attorneys told the judge they want to postpone the trial. The hearing happened over Skype due to coronavirus shutdowns.
A man has died from the coronavirus in southern Illinois. The state has confirmed 677 total deaths as of April 11th.
"When it comes to our food supply, it remains very strong," Agriculture Commissioner Ryan Quarles says.
